What drove your company to look into a PPM solution? What were your motivations, and what were your business needs?

• Our Business needs is to manage projects to support our products. We used to use Microsoft Project and found it a good tool for our resource manager but had difficulty getting reports that were useful out of it. It was also very difficult to have filtered views without having to export to Excel.

What process did you go through to select a PPM vendor? What were your criteria in selecting a PPM vendor and what importance did Software as a Solution (SaaS) play?

• Our process was simple. We wanted a project-managing tool that provided a user interface that was easy to understand and enter data. We wanted a simpler tool over all. When we discovered Daptiv, the interface was simple and easy for use. Daptiv allowed use to tailor our views and environment to allow other users to understand the tool. Daptiv had the means for use to keep it simple as well as making it more complex when needed. It seemed the right fit.

In addition to Daptiv, did you look into other PPM / Business software providers? If so, which ones did you look into and why didn’t you
choose them?

• We looked into the Microsoft Project Web based version. This was very costly to implement and would require IT resources to setup and maintain. We would have had to invest $40,000 in additional Server hardware.
  
  We looked at Project Kick Start and found it limited. It was easy to use but did not have a comprehensive data base fields that Daptiv has. The software was also limited in allowing outside users to see the data.

Why did you choose Daptiv?

• It is collaborative.
• Allows customizing views.
• Has multi level permissions and user capabilities.
• Each user can tailor their work environment.
• Has collaborative tools such as Discussion, Issues, Notifications.

What do you like most about Daptiv (benefits of product, why Daptiv as a company is unique)?

• Daptiv personnel are great to work with. Trainings are excellent. Very fast Web access. Screen responses are excellent.
